I love this piece. It reminds me of a girl trapped in the forest with no way out. It looks like a dream I had once. A girl trapped in the forest with one way out because when her friends try to find her, she blends in too much with the trees and branches. I like this piece because anyone can imagine their own story about the picture.
Joseph Cornell has a lot of bird pictures so I thought to put one in my blog. He must have thought something about birds and how free they are unless they are captured. This picture looks like a bird cadged up and the looks like clocks in the background shows how long the bird is in the cage. If you really look into his eyes, you can see the sadness in it's face. Just like anyone who is locked up just to be looked at. I think he has shown sadness and a lessen to anyone who sees the true meaning of this picture.
