Joseph Cornell

I like this picture because it looks amazing. I like the background texture and how it fades. I think the girl with something in her hands flying is very inspirational. I think it shows that girls, even back than, can fly and I think people under estimate girl power. I really love the mountains, they have a lot of features to them. It also looks like there was a road in the mountains. I think Joseph Cornell did a spectacular job on this piece.

I love this piece. It reminds me of a girl trapped in the forest with no way out. It looks like a dream I had once. A girl trapped in the forest with one way out because when her friends try to find her, she blends in too much with the trees and branches. I like this piece because anyone can imagine their own story about the picture.

Joseph Cornell has a lot of bird pictures so I thought to put one in my blog. He must have thought something about birds and how free they are unless they are captured. This picture looks like a bird cadged up and the looks like clocks in the background shows how long the bird is in the cage. If you really look into his eyes, you can see the sadness in it's face. Just like anyone who is locked up just to be looked at. I think he has shown sadness and a lessen to anyone who sees the true meaning of this picture.

Villain Picture

I chose Esther from The Orphan for my villain in Krause's art class. I wanted so much to see this movie ever since I saw the preview at the movie theater with my best friend. When I finally went to go see it, I was with my best friend again and we were so scared. The movie had everything we loved, comedy, horror, and blood scenes. In this picture she has an evil look. She was looking at the mom when the mom came in when Esther was playing the piano. I thought she was an awesome actress in this movie. I thought she is truly a villain.

Hero Picture

I chose Jackie Chan as my hero to stipple in art class. I loved watching Jackie Chan movies when I was little with my dad. I wanted to be just like him and beat up bad guys to save someone. I was in karate for a long time, so I could have been just like him. As he punched or kicked a guy in the face, I would name the stands or different punch or kick he would throw. Jackie Chan was my role model ever since I was a little girl.

Intro To Stippling And What I Learned

This Project was for Krause's art class. We had to make pictures out of dots. First, I had to trace the picture on the window on to a different piece of paper. Then, I started dotting the dark parts and slowly fading into the light. I had a problem with putting random dots and not in order. I practiced for a while a finally got the hang of things.I also realized that it is easier and looks nicer if you can follow the skin pattern on your own skin. I learned how to place dots more orderly and follow the skin pattern that people have.
